how do i disable the horn with keyless lock/unlock?
 

I have recently bought a 2002 protege 5, and am getting annoyed that the horn honks twice each time I lock/unlock the door.

Is this normal for a stock alarm/immobolizer in a protege5?

Is there a way to disable the honking without cutting any wires?

this is normal for alot of alarm systems hehe....

i know its annoying sometimes but its an audible indication to show ur car is been locked/unlocked..

i guess to disable it all u have to do is take the wire out which connects from ur alarm control unit to the horn...

My sedan only honks when I push the lock button twice. It is silent if I push it once.....
