Hot!!!!!!!!

Well when i drive around, while having the heater on, it gets hot like its soppose to do then it gets to hot, so I turn off the vents right, and down the windows to let some cold air in and after a while I up the windows and the swich is still on 0 and its still freakin hot...anyone know if this is normal...its not a bad deal right now seeing its winter but come summer Iam worried

If you don't want any hot air you should turn the dial to a cooler setting. Even on 0 a small amount of air will flow, I guess to ensure that no one will ever suffocate in the car and to get fresh air circulating.

Your vents maybe open. You know the sliding bar under the turning nobs. Make sure it is to the left (the little car with the arrows circulating inside the car)

If it's to the right, hot air is still going to blow when you drive.

Yeah, make sure your vents are closed.

Vents

My PR5 does the same thing, just turn it to a cooler setting or shut your vents, and this should solve your problem.

I know it, I used to about boil over in my PR5 until i figured out what was wrong!!!

if the vent is open and the temperature dial is in the heating position the force of air will be pushed inside, its normal and as said above turn the vent to recirculate...

Unless you drive around during summer with you heat on it won't be a problem either. When you have the temp set in the blue, it will blow unheated outside air in, so just use your A/C...

The solution for this is to switch from outside air to recirculated air. Then nothing blows thru the vents with the fan dial on "0".

or you could blast the air
and open your windows and enjoy
the nice cold refreshing air of the winter

(not that I do that)

just a thought:D

Cheese March-13th-2003 11:25 PM

The reason this happens is because air is still passing through your vent, to fix it, just set the air to RECIRC instead of {the other setting}...
