Hey I'm new!!!

Hey everyone... I just joined this forum today.. I've been reading alot of threads and found it all very interesting. I own a black 2002 Protege ES. I love it! I have a few things done to it. I have 15% tint all the way around and the front eyebrow, APC carbon fiber taillights, Eibach pro springs ( but they are cut... long story!!) Its dropped about 3.7 inches. 17' Motegi DP5 rims w/ Toyo Proxes. This firday my MP3 bodykit, autoexe front lip, and wings west rear window wing will all be installed... i cant wait. Well thats just alittle info about my car.

I'm having some problems with my springs... if anyone knows anything about them can you send me a message.. thanks

Welcome to the board. 3.7" from cut eibachs?

Lemme be the first, but certainly not the last to say that wasn't a good idea. What kind of problems are you having? If you wanted that much of a drop, you should have gotten coilovers... Anywho, have any pics of your car?

Welcome to the forum. Your car looks sharp. Like the color and it reminds me of my 01' sedan I had. Get some more pics up when you have time.

I warned you... its a long story!!!

Well to start... i wanted my car lowered.. called around and noone for some reason would touch a protege!! So finally got referred to this place ... called .. got an appointment..he picked up my car and brought it back to me.( he picked it up at my work)... well I'm looking at the car and I was like GODDAMN that **** is low!!! So the next day i find the shop so i can pay the guy.. which ran me $430!!! So i'm talking to him and this other guy in a protege pulls and Jim ( the owner of the shop who did my car and John.. the other protege owner..) they start talking about my car...John asked how low it was and jim said 3.7 inches... CUZ HE CUT THEM... WITHOUT asking by the way.. well i didnt care cuz it looks sweet!! but then boyfriend starts flipping out cause apparently thats a bad idea!! Well when i had my stock 16' rims on there everything was great.. no noise no rubbing no nothing... well that all changed when i got my 17' rims put on.. at first it was real real bad... when you would go around a turn it sound like a box of nuts and bolt sliding around in my trunk. There is nothing in my car whatsoever.. and i had no idea what it is. Eventually the noise went away.. i guess the springs settled into a snug place.. Well my boyfriend took my wheels off and one spring is way shorter than the other.. and they are kinda just dangling there...( i know they will do that when they arent compressed) but even when i was jacking the car down they were still lose. Jim is gonna look at it friday. but i really dont want to make my car higher.. i really like the way it is. I ordered new struts. Well that help... I know i should have went with the coilovers.. i didnt know about them then. But i also havent seen any coilovers that will give me the 3 to 4 inch drop i want. What does anyone suggest??? AND I KNOW I'M A MORON. and for those of you who asked about pix.. they will be up by next weekend...when the bodykit gets put on

Hello Babygirl and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to our Club. There are TWO BIG fridge'S in the corner with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have.

make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

awesome ride
that is freaking LOWERED!!!

Anyway, yeah, I would never cut springs
not that you did it, but the dude who did it
so, anyay, he should fix that on his own cost,
you shouldn't have to pay for it

however the car looks nice
good luck with the project

Nice car! Usually I don't like Altezza/Euro taillights, but the carbon fiber really accents the black well.

YEAH I WAS SUPRISED ABOUT THE ALTEZZA'S.....I REALLY WANTED THE BLACK SATIN... I THINK THATS WHAT THEY ARE CALLED WHERE THE HOUSING IS BLACK... BUT THEY DONT MAKE THEM FOR MY CAR...SO I SETTLED FOR THE CARBON FIBER.. I ONLY THINK THE CARBON FIBER WHOULD ONLY LOOK GOOD ON A BLACK CAR... JUST MY OPINION.. THANKS FOR CHECKING OUT MY CAR.

HEY JASON.. HAVENT HEARD FROM YOU IN AWHILE.. WHATS GOING ON?

Nothing to much just got done painting my calipers today. I posted some pics of them in the Photo Gallery. Other than that just relaxin on my 4 day weekend. Will probably do some more work this next weekend with race weekend coming up and I won't be driving it then. Hope your problem gets fixed soon. Like I said can't wait to see that kit on your car. It will look great. Talk to you later
