Help! Rear strut adjustments

My wifes '02 P5 was involved in a small accident. The insurance co. decided to "total" the car citing repairs at $10K! I bought the car back (for $1800) and I'm going to repair it myself. The r/r wheel is tilted in at the top (approx 1") There's no damage to the floor pan and it doesn't look like there's any damage to the strut. The wheel did get marked up a bit so I know it was "tapped'. Can someone tell me where the adjustments are located? P.S I could use a red door from someone http://home.jps.net/~sbethel/mazda%20wreck

that's not an "adjustment" dude.

something is bent...you "might" be able the get a new hub assembly to fix it...

Are you saying there's no camber adjustment for the rear wheels ?

Roddimus Prime February-17th-2006 07:59 PM

correct. If you damaged the rear strut tower you'll need to buy a new one and cut out the old one and have the new one welded in.

There's probably a good reason why the insurance company totaled it out. They usually would rather NOT if they can help it.

If you fix it and get a new strut you can try to use some camber bolts for the rear to held take out any minor camber problems. The cheaper ones give you up to 1.75 deg of adjustment and the H&R ones give you up to 3 deg.

this like has both manufactures and they make them for the P5.

Does 3 degrees = 1 inch? Will the adjustment be enough?

I agree w/ Rod P , understand all the damage and impacts before buying parts...

It is unibody. Are there other damaged areas of the subframe? Can you get a body shop to put it on an alignment rig?

If nothing else, you can surely get your money back by parting it out.
