Hard start when cold...

For some reason my car has a hard time starting when its cold, my old car (1994 Pontiac Sunbird) never had this problem....whats the deal?

now i have a 2003 protege lx(though) 2.0 gt pkg. laser blue as well!! what color was your sunbird?? mine was purple.....but to your question nope i don't have any problems when starting my car even in -40 degrees C..... do you plug your car??

My Pro starts a little hard when it gets cold out as well, even with the block heater plugged in. However, that said, my Pro has always started for me on the first attempt (knock on wood), even in -30 C weather.

Living in Toronto, Canada, I'm thinking whether I should invest on a block heater too. However, I don't seem to recall alot of places offering a power plug on the wall/floor... Is it because I've carelessly missed them? Where can I usually find them in plaza/mall?

Even if it happens (occassionally) when it's well above freezing? Sounds almost like a dying battery.

He never said where he is from and lameville most likely doesn't exist so I figured it was winter and cold where he is :D

I thought that much. I guess I'll wait until it becomes a reproducable problem, instead of one of those that never happen when you take it to the dealer. :p

My guess is it's just the battery.

Im from washington NC.

It rarely gets below freezing here, my car doesnt do it all the time but when it does it makes me worry.
