Good price?
I got my dealer down to $16,800 U.S. for a Pro5 with the Sunroof, alarm, cargo net, floor mats, destination charge. does that sound good? Did anybody get any lower?

Yeah. I paid like MSRP $19.5K. Only thing I got more than you was the 6 disc changer and cassette.

considering the invoice in my area for a P-5 with NO options is 15,800....with the list of options you got? I say you are on the ballpark for a fair deal. if that price was OUT THE DOOR...as in TTL included...that would be even better! lol for that is about $1G
|
not bad, i would think its a fair deal. maybe a lil better than fair

I wanted a base model 5 speed with no options, and did some online searching and found I could buy them for $15,349 (everything but TTL) at 2 or 3 different dealerships, all out of my state.
When I went to talk to the boys at my local dealership, I told them I had already found my car and could buy it for that price, so our negotiations began there. I really would have preferred a "dealer demo" with a few miles on it, to further lower the price, but he told me all 3 of his demo's were automatics. When we began searching for a basic silver 5 speed, lo and behold, out of the 21 P5's on his lot, the only car they had which fit my description was an overlooked "demo" with 5300 miles on it. We negotiated a little more, and I bought it "out the door" for $14,649, - EVERYTHING included but TTL. I made the sales guy throw in the floormats for free ;) Don |
thats cool DonM, i wouldnt mind buying a demo and save $1000+
i almost got a base silver 5spd for $16k flat plus taxes,etc. |
Out the door I paid something like 17200. The only thing I got was polished wheels which were like 500 extra. Sounds like your getting a pretty good deal .
|
Yea sounds like a good deal. I got mine for $17.2+TTL for an Auto w/moonroof+deflector, mats and all the little stuff etc..
|
I got mine for $13,900 including a graduate school discount of $400
Its a base pro5 with the floormats and 2 miles on the odometer out the door everything included it was just a hair over 15 grand ive been punished though for my good fortune, as ive recently posted..... i scraped my right front wheel on the curb, im such a dumb ass  |

Not bad, I got my 2000 1.6l Lx Protege for 11,000 with everything but the indash-6 and the sunroof, it 15,000 miles on it but eh who cares
|
well, for anyone who is interested i got the car at Maxon Mazda in Springfield NJ
www.yesmaxon.com the thing is i had to bring in an ad they had in the paper that was advertizing the car for $12,900 to get it hope this helps |
How the hell did you get a p5 for that? According to consumer reports dealers pay just over 15000 for them. Your one lucky bastard. :bt:
|
the $12,900 price included a $1000 Maxon (the dealership) owners discount and a $400 student discount
so i didnt get the $1000 discount but i did get the student discount because im in grad school so it came to $13,900 it was an amazing deal, otherwise i would be a proud new owner of something very used im happy i found it |
Im jealous.

I have to wait until next month for it to show up, but I am traveling a bunch for work so I would not get to enjoy the P5 until then anyway. I am sure the dealer will find a way to charge me more The other car http://www.lotusowners.com/Owners/Se...lle_MA_JPG.htm and http://www.lotusowners.com/Owners/Se...al_USA_JPG.jpg |
