2002.5 Protege 5. My wife drives it to work which is about 6 miles of county roads with speeds of 45-55 and about 20 of highway with speeds of 70mph. She has the autostick tranny. There are 15" blizzak tires on the car and it's colder than balls in Ohio. That all equates to about 25-26. I think that stinks.
My '01 Chevy Impala---company car---gets 30mpg with about the same drive and Kumho tires in the same weather. My '93 SE-R averaged 33mpg on that same drive with heavy 16" rims and Nitto 450 tires in the summer. Curt B. Shumaker |
i get about 250 miles to the tank. I read on another thread that someone said they were getting 330 easy, how is that?

miles
Ok---Are we basing it on how many miles, or what MPG we get? My wife gets 375 on a tank before the warning light comes on. Again, 2002.5 Protege 5, auto tranny, 15" Blizzak tires, cold as hell and the luggage rack is on too.

With my lead foot, heavy wheels, and slow and underpowered engine, about 24-25 MPG all city driving.
I installed new spark plugs and wires about a week ago. Hopefully my mileage will go up but I haven't had a chance to check my mileage... |
