Forged Internals......?

I saw some people talking about "forged internals" on another forum and I was wondering what on earth is that referring to? Some of your car terms confuse me. LOL What are forged internals? I'm guessing it means major engine bloack work, but what else?
THANKS A BUNCH

Forged internals basically refers to having the internal parts of the engine, like the crankshaft, connecting rods, and pistons forged...Forging is a metallurgical(sp?) process which hardens a metal and makes it more resistant to cracking or breaking....laymens terms...it makes your engine less likely to break under stress...hope this helps
