Fog light bulbs 55W VS 100W

Hi,

I need to change my fog lights bulbs on my 2002 MP5. I saw on the Fog light casing that it is written 55W bulbs but I was wondering if I could put some 100W bulbs instead of the 55W. What are the chances that I damage something.

Thank you for your help

Justin

you would most likely melt something using that high of a wattage

its not worth playing with, plus usually the no name bulbs that give off good color usually are just paint coating and or, run at the incorrect wattage, trust me, its not worth it, plus hahha you wreak your housing or wiring your in for a pretty interesting repair bill if something blows :S yikes..

run down to your Auto Zone or Canadian tire and pick up respectable blubs, they will last you a life time and they work very well, I review Cool Blues and Piaa Super Plasma blubs on this forum, do a search for it if your considering buying upper end bulbs :)

cheers
