Exhaust

Has anyone heard of OBX racing exhaust, if so has anyone bought one and were you satisfied with it.

I've only heard of it on ebay.....The reason I would say "no" to it is that it is not a 2.5" system...it's only 2.14" system. I asked them about it and they very "matter of fact-ly" informed me of the size....same as stock....I then informed them that another ebay seller is selling a 2.5" mandrel bent catback for $280shipped when theres is $300.

I would go with the cheaper, larger system for a cat-back...it's the one I'm ordering.

What about the megan cat-back on Ebay

Roddimus Prime May-1st-2004 11:53 PM

again, it looks to be the exact same as the one I'm going to buy only more expensive.....

where are u getting yours from

Roddimus Prime May-2nd-2004 12:23 AM

ebay....it's the one listed for $225 + $50 shipping....just a generic exhaust....name brands cost money.....it's mandrel bent, 2.5" polished T6061 SS....what does any other exhaust have that this one doesnt??

Roddimus Prime May-2nd-2004 11:02 AM

That does not look like a typical Protege cat-back. It looks as if it would remove the second cat by the location of the hangers, and also that triange flange...that shouldn't be there on a straight pipe. Is the proper cat-back pictured?

I dunno, but it's gauranteed to fit a P5....we'll see once I order it how it turns out.

Judging from the pictures it doesn't look quite right, but do let me know. I've taken apart/worked on my exhaust so much I could do it blind practically. And yet I still have work to do on it :(

the picture may not be an actual representation but we'll see.
