Excessive Wind Noise over 140 km/h
As I was travelling a deserted road tonight, I ended up reaching speeds in excess of 140-180 km/h. I noticed a "severe" amount of wind noise coming from my Third Gen GT sedan. I closed all the windows, and the sunroof, and still noticed that the screaching noise was so unbearable. Does Mazda test these types of things in their wind tunnels, or do they have people who pretend they are car engineers?
The main source of this unbearable wind noise came from the top of the windshield where it meets the frame of the roof. Thank you in advance for any responses. |
I believe there is a technical service bulletin out on this. It has to do with the windshield top molding. I am not positive, but I think they have to reseat the molding. I'm sure someone in here knows about this...
