Double DIN Deck
 

Has anyone ever installed or seen the Kenwood
DDX7015 installed in a protege? The unit, is an all-in-one DVD screen and player, and IMO looks pretty damn cool. Just wondering.....

That things looks hot, everything you want in one unit, and even a A/V input. Damn expensive though.

I dont understand why you can get a portable dvd player at walmart for like $200, but car audio dvd prices are ridiculous. LCD prices have come way down, theres no way you can tell me a 6" lcd screen is expensive to make nowdays....

Yeah, damn manufacturers! But I've been eyein this thing for quite some time now, and finally got to see it in-person today....it was incredible. I've installed two in-dash dvd units before, but both were single DIN, with seperate boxes....talk about a pain in the ass! It took anywhere from 4-6 hours to do each one. This would be much simpler, and look way better.

....anyone noticed that there just AREN'T that many double-DIN decks these days? Ten years ago, there were TONS of them on the market, I swear. It would be great if there were more options available to us.

Is that the one that has the flush screen? Exactly what i'd want if i went the dvd player/screen route... If it is... yeah... i'd love to see that under the tree this Christmas!
