Is the little doohickey with two vacuum hoses runing to it and a wire harness connected to it that mounts on top of the stock intake hose supposed to make tapping noises? :dunno:

Thats the canister purge valve.

Yes it is supposed to click.

thank you. I had never noticed it until I instaled my CAI and it was leaning against my master cylinder (started tapping really loud)

No Problem.

Thats why they mount it in rubber from the factory. It is tapping as it tries to purge some of the trapped fuel vapor from the tank.
Just zip tie it to something with some foam for insulation. Thats what I did when I put my CAI on my 6.

hey thanks for the advice. For right now I just slipped it on one of my hoses to hold it in place for now. It seems to work pretty good for now.
