Do you or do you know anyone that works for Mazda?
I wanted to purchase a Mazda Protege5 - Blue with automatic option only sometime between now and March 30th.
From what I know, just from knowing someone that works at Mazda dealerships will get you a S-plan (2% above dealer price). I heard that just by giving my information, I can be given a pin# to get the Mazda Protege5 with the S-plan. Can you help out? Thanks for any advice! |
I know someone who works for Mazda. Only problem is that if I tell ya, I would have to kill ya...
LOL :p |
You don't have to work for Mazda
You don't have to work for Mazda to get the S plan pricing. The company that you work for has to be a part of their fleet member program.
For instance, my company offers a fleet discount on most American cars, and also Mazda. I logged onto www.fordpartner.com, entered the company code, and received a PIN number. I went into the dealer Sat, told them I had S plan pricing, picked out a nice blue protege5 with all the options (except automatic...) and I'm picking up the car today. I don't think you'll be able to do it though, as they ask for a copy of your W-2 or a recent pay stub to verify that you work for the company that is reported on their PIN system. Also, the S-Plan pricing is *below* dealer cost. -Brubeck |
So the dealers can not buy a protege5 for their friends or family?

Maybe I spoke too soon...
You know, you're probably right on that one. I only know about the S-Plan through our companies fleet discount, which is only good if we use it ourselves. I'm sure Mazda employees have a slightly different program.
My cousin-in-law is a mechanic for Mazda, but I don't think they even have s-plan in Tokyo... -Brubeck |
My nephew works at a big GM dealership...they have the same sort of program...but it is only extended to family members...not friends.

Yeah, msot dealerships have programs that come straight from the auto manufacturer. For example, Chrysler corp. offer's a $750 discount below dealer cost for all cars (Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, etc) if the dealer is 5 star, $250 if it's not. And ususally these programs apply for direct family. You, you're parents, grandparents, sisters, brothers, and sometimes step/half siblings and parents. This is why I'm sticking to my place of employment till the SRT comes out...good deal ;-).
I beleive my sister got the S plan through Mazda through the fleet thing. I'm not totally sure though. |
My Dad works for Ford and we were able to get a d-plan option. This is similar to the a and s plans I beleive. We got 1000 under cost. The only thing is that you have to be a family member and you have to wait 6 months to get you're next one. I was surprised and quite happy that the ford plan covers mazda's too. (It also covers all the ford owned complanies I beleive.) Unfortunately you can't be jsut a friend you need to be related in some way.
