Difference between 2.0 on the 3i and the protege?
 

I haven't been on the boards in probably 2 years now; I've been busy finishing up my undergrad and starting grad school, but now I could use some help from any of the mechanically sound fellows still posting here.

Well, after surviving over 90k and an old lady hitting me head on, my p5's engine is shot. I'm probably looking to just get a rebuilt one, but I was hoping to be able to expand my search by including the 2.0 in the mazda3i. I am guessing it probably is the same engine as the one in my 2002 p5, but I was just wondering if anyone knew for sure if it was the same.
