Just outta curiousity why in the world would you want a cf trunk? I can't think of why you would wanna take off your original trunk and put a cf one in to replace it. I guess this just doesnt make since to me. What are they gonna come out with next cf doors, cf rims, cf tint?:o

THought I wouldnt put one on my car, the reason is no different from a cf hood.

Granted, 99% of the cf hoods on cars out in the world are there for looks, but the original intent was for weight savings. Same goes for a trunklid, weight savings. Im sure his reason is for looks, but if you want a technical reason why someone would use it, there you go.

there is a company that makes CF doors, trunk, hood, and fenders for the s2000. weight savings= speed, decrease in stoping distance, corrnering......... lots of cool stuff.

And it looks pimp as hell!!

I'm pretty sure Fiber Images in Cali would make one for you, but they might need your trunk for a while, and it may cost a bit,

I dunno if you ever saw the owners car from Fiber Images, 01 Civic, CF EVERYTHING, the only things that werent CF were the rear panels and body, haha, CF WHEELS TOO!!!!!!:o

they only reason i would get a carbon fiber trunk its because i already fu#@ed my old trunk and i think it would be much easyer and cheaper then buying a new one(labor and paint) , it would probably end up costing the same but with the cf trunk I would get the looks with it well
i dont think that the price for the cf trunk(if fiber image made it)would more the their hoods

I'm pretty sure it'll easily surpass the price of a CF Hood since it is a little bit more difficult to make such a large piece with the bend it has. Trunk lids for the WRX cost anywhere from $900 for Moster Sport's-$2000 for C-West. But,, then again those are both JDM companie, so who know's. I went ahead and shot an email over to Fiber Images asking about a trunk lid.
