Catback

I've been considering buying a catback exhaust for my MP5. I was wondering if any of you had opinions on what system is the best as far as cost and also power gains. I found systems by each of these manufacturers Greddy, Thermal, Racing Beat, and Bosal. Let me know what you think.

Have you considered custom ? That is usually best bang for your buck. I was quoted $150 by a shop for mandrel bent 2.5" cat back, not including the muffler

I have the Racing Beat Exhaust and like it. Nice sound and not boomy, can't say about the others.

None of the exhausts will net you much in the way of HP gains, maybe 5 HP or so.

I did it mainly for the sound and look.

There are some group buys going on for some of them.

I'm not sure about the Racing Beat one. Personally I don't quite like the way it looks, but it's been recommended to me by others. No I haven't considered a custom one. I had a bad experience with a CarX muffler and brake service place here. I had them install a muffler (basically a cut and weld) and I've never seen a more terrible weld in my life. So unless I can find a really good place here in town I'll prolly just order one made to fit.
