Car jerks when slowing down.
 

I have a 99 Mazda Protege LX and every time im slowing down to brake it starts to jerk like if going to turn off on me. Just yesterday my car turned off on me and i found that the positive battery cable was loose and since then it hasnt turned off on me. At one time it felt like it turned off and the check engine light showed but then it went back to normal like if nothing happened. I was told to check the fuel injectors and also check the battery cables to see if they are properly connected to the alternator. what do you guys think is the problem?

So it doesn't turn off on you since you secured your battery cables, but it still jerks when slowing...is that the problem?

yes thats the problem it doesnt turn off on me but it jerks like it wants to.
