cabin pressure vents???
HELP....
Up inside of rear bumper - both sides... There are vents covered with either thin rubber of thick plastic material.. I assume these are to let the cabin pressure be equal or the body breathe.. These cause a very BAD noise when bumping bass into the hatch.. How can this be cured, and what exactly are they for, and can I get rid of them somehow?? Please HELP... :D :D  |

No, I don't have pictures..
I just went to my local dealership, and that's exactly what they are. Cabin pressure vents, they rattle pretty bad, and also let water into trunk area of vehicle. When I installed my B-Quiet (Sound deadening material) this weekend. I discovered a pool of water inside my drivers side trunk area. It is behind wheel well on the un the lower part of trunk.. I'm like that's not cool. So now I find out that it is more or less caused by these vents that control cabin pressure. I guess, the guy said my AC/Heater may not work the same if I remove them (block the hole) also the doors may shut harder on the car if blocked. So I guess this part of the board only needs to be warned about the water that these vents allow inside of car.. thanks.. |
