A/C smells. TSB 07-001/03

Hi,

I have the symptoms of what is described in that TSB. Has anyone done it themselves? Should I have the dealer do it? It is NOT covered under warrantee.

Thanks for any tips

M.

how is it not covered under warranty when there is a TSB on it??

Ah, you must have spoken with a service writer!! Yeah, Mazda doesn't warranty anything. Good luck.

Mastermis July-6th-2004 09:15 AM

I called. They told me it is not covered. In the TSB is clearly says that it is not covered. Actually, I called the dealer and played dumb and he right away told me its not covered :-(

Here is the TSB :
http://web2.airmail.net/theman/prote...07-001-03.html

And the section in the TSB :

WARRANTY INFORMATION
NOTE: This repair is not covered by warranty.

So has anyone done it themselves?

Thanks for any input

what is the fix?? recharging the system?

I would just tell them that you are a VALUABLE customer to them and if they wish to keep you that way they will have to make your car NOT smell like funk whenever you turn on your ac. If they continue to refuse ask for the general manager of the dealership. Make some noise, do not sit there and let them walk all over you. Let them know that YOUR money is what keeps them in business and if they do not wish to take care of their customers or wish to sell them stinky cars you'll have a tv crew down there in 30 minutes and a phone call to the BBB.

If that doesn't work I'll come down and break knee-caps for $50 a cap plus a $500 base fee plus first class travel and accomodations.

Not even .. its just removing the glove box & using a spray can.

wow....they can't make a customer happy when that's all you're asking?!?!? what crap-smears.

Want me to break them? All I have to do is Tell president Bush that your dealership is hiding WMD's in there and we'll get em for ya.....of course....we should only do this unless you want us to occupy you and make you part of America.

cool, I'll bring my lift and tools!

If you attempt this I would be interested in how difficult it was to remove the glove box... I have no shop manual and I honestly don't see any flex points on the dash. I'm gonna call my dealership and ask how much that spray is. I wonder if anyone else sells this kind of product?

Roddimus Prime July-7th-2004 08:53 AM

the glove box practically falls out. It's VERY simple to remove.

BTW... Iraq isn't going to be part of the U.S.--if it's anything like our previous occupations--expect in about ten years for them to start selling cars and stereos superior to anything we make with the backing of an economy that trumps ours handily... ;)

Thanks for the information. That was my only concern.
