buddy club racing spec condenser

i just got one of these things (voltage regulator & grounding system in one) and the instructions are all in japanese. just wondering if anyone knows where i should connect the 3 ground wires in the engine bay? i'm guessing one point would be the engine block... but what about the other 2?
there's also a little bracket on the opposite side of where the ground wires attach. i can't figure out what that's for. it can't be for mounting, cause it looks too flimsy... plus it came with a big ol piece of double sided tape to stick it in the engine bay.

hopefully someone has installed one of these, hehe.

What does it do?

i would *assume* it would ground to the block, body, and battery.

puzzled. Do you have a url for a description?

yeah, link here ,scroll down. there are already two wires that go to the battery (+ and -) for the volt regulator part of this thing. there are 3 additional wires for grounding, and yeah... my pops said that most likely you'd ground one to the block, one to the body, but he's lost on the third. being that the instructions are all in japanese, i'm thinking of asking my boss to translate, since she's japanese and speaks it fluently. but of course she's on vacation in australia for 2 weeks. haha.

"...and cool blue LEDS :rolleyes:"

It sounds like a fancy grounding kit. 'Pops is probably right. Please let us know what 'performance gains' you see from it. It doesn't have to be 'dyno' - just impression balanced against 'desire to justifiy $200 spent'....

FWIW: Pretty suspect-looking dyno chart to my eyes...

Thanks!

Custom grounding kit = $20
That = $200
Difference = nifty plastic square

You make the call...

And yes P-Funk... that "dyno graph" does not give me a warm fuzzy.

kargoboy March-8th-2005 07:33 AM

5-7 HP gain? Warm fuzzy=no.

mokeOne March-9th-2005 01:55 AM

haha yeah, i don't really think it gives you a big fat gain in HP. i totally wouldn't have pitched $200 for it though. i got it from a friend in japan for about half the price. too bad they don't read japanese though. haha.

Ohhhh an "earthing" kit ... :squint:
