I'm sorry but 7 bills for a grill insert and a lip???? no thanks i would drop that on some custom forged 8.5:1 pistons...but you know to each his own....Hope everything turns out the way you want....but still geez 700 bucks for 2 pieces of urethane (hopefully for that much)????:stickpoke

HurricaneP5 March-13th-2002 09:19 PM

Good looking stuff....way too pricey though.....I've seen full ground effects kits for less then that for other cars...the price will come down and then I'll buy :)

We should get some carbon fiber lips made. We already have the piece to make the mold of (ARD has it at least.) I'm sure he knows people who can make it or I can try to find someone there. I also know people here. If people are interested I can find out how much it will cost to have em made. Probably cheaper than the Urethane lip actually.

ARD MP5 March-14th-2002 01:21 AM

Well that's how much they are. Some are more interested in aesthetics and the shows are beginning. I needed this before April and this was the only way to do it. Hand delivered on a plane. That should explain the need to recoop on the shipping costs to me.

I had to pay the price also. I'm making $20.00 on each part. That's nothing considering I could have invested the money into other things and gotten a way better return.

The grille is made out of fiberglass, while the lip spoiler is made out of urethane. The quality and fitment is superb.

JDM isn't for everyone. Most won't pay the price for both performance and aesthetics, but some will.

Me personally, I want it all. hehe. And have always paid the price, long before the business. You always get what you pay for and this means you'd be one of the first.

Thanks, Rishie

Those prices include shipping obviously. As for a replica, we're way ahead of you.

here's a question for you:

can you post pics of the grill installed, with the hood open? it looks like it would improve the flow of air into the factory intake. i assume it takes the place of the factory grill, and not just mount in front of it. looks great though, and again the price is high but it doesn't look hard to get a bogey made from it to sell for cheaper.

azrakain March-14th-2002 12:07 PM

Are you getting carbon fiber replicas made? That is what I was suggesting.

MYFBPEX00 March-14th-2002 03:27 PM

I know you don't want to seperate this stuff and I understand why the prices are high but I dont want the grill just the spoiler. If you want to sell one for $400 shipped I will have the cash to you next day. let em know at johns_rob@hotmail.com:D

ARD MP5 March-14th-2002 03:31 PM

We're looking into the cost of the manufacturing in a couple different finishes, so I'll keep you posted.

I don't have any idea how long it will take to get production done, so things are just begginning right now.

Thanks, rishie

I will need to see if anyone wants the grille insert from your kit. Then I can work it out. I do not want to be left with any remainders.
