After refueling engine seems to be faster?

It seems like every time after I refuel my car (p5) my car seems to run faster, then the next day it wears off? I think the fuel systems uses all the active octane or something? Any comments?

I know what you mean, every time after I refill, I feel like the car has more 'oommph' to it when stepping on the gas pedal. Maybe it's because fuels are delivered more efficiently when the tank is full compared to when almost empty?

I think it wears off the next day because it's no longer as obvious as when you were able to compare the before & after differences right after you fuel the car.

I may be wrong but i think it has to do with fuel pressure too.

well it COULD be that if you are refueling your car when its REALLY empty....the gas you are buying is stored underground...and its tempature is relitively cool compared to ambient temps.....thus for a given space you have MORE gas.....just like putting a "ice can" on the gas line in cars when you race.....THEN after a day....the temp of the gas you just baught warms up...and thus the effect goes away.

COULD BE! :{D

Nightowl,

I'd like to get more information on that mod. Could you please post the link to the original post? I hope it won't frig up my engine though... Hell, anything for more HP!
