99 protege help
 

hi, i'm new here and looking for sites, other forums, anything where i can find some info/advice on how to modify my 99 protege es. i'm not even sure where to start! i would like to start out simple, i guess with exhaust/intake and stuff like that to improve performance and also exterior/cosmetic changes. so what does anyone suggest for a beginner!? thanks!

welcome chimera to the forum. This place has THE MOST information regarding your Protege.

a good way to start off, see the 'Search' button on the upper right hand corner of the page? Go there, type in the kind of mod you're looking for ('intake', 'exhaust', 'rims', etc) and search. I guarantee you that you'll find tons of information on these stuff.

oh shit! I didn't even see you're from DC chimera!!!!! where exactly are you? No Va? downtown? PG/Montgomery County? Baltimore?

We have an autocross event at FedEx field this Sunday, we already have a bunch of Proteges showing up, wanna come join us? :D

i'm from No Va (fairfax). the autocross event sounds cool, tell me more :)

the autocross event is organized by by SCCA of DC region. It is an all day event. Over 200 cars are registered to run. Us Protege drivers are all going to run in the afternoon session, which starts around 1pm.

you won't be able to enter into the race because it's a pre-register only event, but watching the race is free. Right now we have 4 Proteges from this forum that will be running in the afternoon. So if you want to come out and see some cone action come out to FedEx on Sunday and enjoy the fun! :)
