99-00 Hood vs. 01-02 Hood
 

Hay guys me and Chris aka cdglow did a hood swap today my gen3 99 pro hood for his 02 P5 hood the only difference is that the P5 hood stuck out in the front middle about an half inch on my 99 Pro. All the seals, hood latch, hindges, and sides where a perfect fit. My 99 hood on his 02 P5 has a little short in the front middle cuaseing the top edge of the grill to stick out about an half inch. So with a little bumper moldeing on the the 99-00 and a custom grill on the 00-02 either hood work fine on either car.
So I might get a CF Hood for the 02 and put it on my gen3 99. If they made a fibeglass hood you could easaly shave down the front edge and have perfect fit for the 99-00 Pro with a 01-02 Pro fiberglass hood.

Wow I didn't know they were that similar. Is this hood swap going to be permanent?

That's about where on my 99' Pro the 02' P5 hood strats to come out but the seal is match perfect against the top of the head light.
Right after the head lights toward the middle is where is sticks out or overhangs the front grill about an 1/2 inch.
