2003 "Refresh Package"
 

I'm new to this website. I own an '02 Protege sedan ES with the GT package. I've seen mention of a "2003 Refresh Package" in a couple threads. Could someone tell me what exactly this package is?

well i cant remember exactly

but i think it was in the 2002 year

thats why some people say they have a 2002.5

in 2003, it was for the mazdaspeeds

so you can have a 2003 msp
or a 2003.5 msp

basically its just little touchups here and there, and little changes here and there, nothing really that important.....

like in the case of the msp, its basically different spoiler, and no foglights.... other small things tho but u get what i'm saying...

offered new cupholders, clear sidemarkers, optional leather ( I think in the u.s only and only on the P5) different speaker configuration in the front door and the auto/standard transmission option.......plus I think they offered the MP3 laser blue as an option color (or possibly this was in the 2003 year)

2003 mid year refresh offered a powered subwoofer and no roof rails.

There was actually a refresh package that some dealers were given by mazda to make their 02's look more like 03's. The difference being the more functional cupholders, different style wheels, sidemarker repeaters on the fenders...
