2003 MP5 Starting the Engine Problem
 

Not sure if it is a problem, but does anyone else have a 2003 Protege5 that when you start the engine it does not start right away. Mine is brand new. I was just wondering if when you crank it, does it seem like a little slow to turn over?

I've had mine for 2 years and it always starts on the first try, even in -20 celceius degree weather.

Mine starts on first try, it just rotates for about 1-2 seconds. Im used to an instant start on ignition. My mother liked mine, went and got her one and hers does the same dang thing

sounds like a warranty issue to me.

Yeah But this is not good 4 2 brand new cars to do the same. Possibly because they are 2003s and have been sitting since 2002 maybe? I dunno. Just wanted to get some input before i called these cats about it.
