OK so the idea of adding swirl action to an exhuast was a dismal failure lol and resulted in a 24% loss in power lol ok ok shot us. lol

We took it to an engineering univeristy we had a student do it up, and bang we installed it. I am still blaming the kid for the failure.

But the new idea is to combine my newly aquired INJEN with 2 links of a custom made replica of the Tornado Fuel saver. After returning to the University and speaking to a professor we had some encouraging comments and a working plan to impliment.

But we were warned that low end torque will suffer further with the fins inside the tube acting as a slight intial obstruction. but in the mid range and high end we are forcasting a modest performance gain.

Only the Dyno will tell, Saj will be bringing his video camera and filming history lol hahha or another failed operation

any thoughts? input?

becareful its sturdy and doesn't break thereby sending pieces of plastic in your throttlebody other than that i'm interested always kinda wondered if these things worked or if they were just a scam now maybe we'll see

Thanks i will change my tag to Mad Omron lol haha but ya, we have had one guy come up with a model for the placement of the fins, some are suggesting that they are placed before/in the bends of the pipe. placing them anywhere else will add to noise of air as it hits the bends and looses its power.

The Science boys are working on the model for placement in a INJEN pipe so once they are done its all good.

well we are looking at the MAF sensor thats in the middle of the pipe and that will disrupt the airflow, if you take a good look you will see why. so we will need 4 fins, one at the tip near the filter, the bend before the Sensor, After the sensor and after the last bend just before the throttle body. thats the plan,

the engineering team has a few working models in the works, but it will take time to find the right solution, also the old place i use to get dynos is no longer in business so i gotta look for a new place that will sponsor us

The only possible place to put this for the LIMITED value - is between the throttle and the engine. All other bends, throttle plates, etc. will 'ruin' the LIMITED amount of swirl imparted by the fins. Each bend/curve 'robs' the swirl of its energy. BTW: No Free Lunch. The energy to create the swirl - reduces the velocity of the flowing air. The 'intake' suck of the piston has to be stronger.

Get some aero-bubbas on your team. The aerodynamics are the key - but it isn't obvious that you have addressed them.

I am "all" for free HP - just have to have a real basis for it. The test will prove. My hope springs eternal... Thanks for having the resources and willingness to explore this.
