Will it damage an Auto

I know that turboing and supercharging a car with an automatic is not a good thing because it puts too much stress on the gearbox. Well I was wondering, do you guys think that a short ram intake and an exhaust will have negative effects in the long run on an automatic gearbox?

I don't think that an intake and an exhaust will cause any problems.............:bt:

No it will not, your engine will just breath better. No harm there.

Sure some factory cars come with turbo's or superchargers. But they were meant to have them. I'm sure that the gearbox was probably beefed up a bit. You can put a turbo or a supercharger in a car that has automatic transmission but you'll have to get additional parts to not fry your transmission (i.e. transmission cooler). I don't want to get anything additional if I get an I/E. I should've stated that in the original post.

No, it won't harm anything...but then I don't see why it would harm an AT equipped car with a turbo or supercharger either.
Agreed, we have a guy who's got a big, big turbo on a Neon out in the midwest who runs 8's. Switched over from a stick to an auto this year for more stability.
