What top 3 mods should RM Racing make?

Rm Racing is starting a rally division with the protege as one of the cars they will be making parts for. What are the top three things you would like to see offered for the Protege? They're willing to make anything non-internal... Pick good stuff, because whatever they do, they're going to prototype it on my car :) :)

what do you mean by non-internal? would they do suspension, or say a...... turbo kit? hehe

:D

My car is the test car for the cold air intake. They have fitted my car several times so far. This intake is awesom I hope they have it done before the show in Ventura. Just wait you will be suprised. It is very clean and also includes a hidden air scoop.

Low boost turbo (cheap kit everyone can afford and install).
n/a exhaust header
high-flow cat mid-section

Non-Internal?

If you mean bolt on stuff for the engine, I want to see a header and high flow cat. If you mean body/interior, I want to see another, better body kit available. The options we have currently are weak.

Rear strut bar

Ambient May-23rd-2002 01:41 PM

Adjustable cam gears
Individual Throttle bodies (ie. Venom Manifold)
High Flow Fuel rail

Wish List :)

Makaveli May-23rd-2002 01:55 PM

:) j/k

macdaddyslomo May-23rd-2002 02:17 PM

high-flow cat
ram-air setup
billet pulleys
adjustable cam gears
clutch??(is that considered internals)
lighter flywheel

macdaddyslomo May-23rd-2002 02:18 PM

oooh,ooooh! a ported & polished intake manifold

azrakain May-23rd-2002 03:52 PM

rear strut tower bar, header (replace primary cat), bigger bore throtle body and intake manifold (simialar to edlebrocks for the civic/integras)

macdaddyslomo May-23rd-2002 04:02 PM

azrakain,do you mean a rear tower bar for p5's...cause the rear of the sedans are already braced....read the FAQ...its built in by the factory

slooper May-23rd-2002 04:26 PM

makaveli>>They'd be willing to do a turbo kit if that's what everyone wants. Their attitude is to make everything aftermarket for the P5 that most do-it-yourselfers could do with a little help. A turbo kit, I think, fits in that category...

SedanMan May-23rd-2002 04:37 PM

Yes yes! Turbo for the average do-it yourselfer...

Ambient May-23rd-2002 04:40 PM

Honestly, we have more than three turbo kits becoming available...it's be nice to have plenty but concentrate on something else.

I for one would buy a manifold with individual throttle bodies. The adjustable cam gears have been mentioned more than once. And I've seen a header (replaces primary cat) said more than once also.
