Weird-o-rama!

Anyone had this happen, or know why it happened/happens? I left my car outside last night until very late, then went outside and put it in the garage, which involved starting it up, moving it 20 feet, and shutting it off. The next morning, it would not start to save my life. It cranked and cranked and cranked, seemed like it was cranking faster than normal too, for what seemed like over a minute, with an occasional backfire, like it was trying to catch. Finally it started and sputtered for a few seconds and cleared itself out. Is there a "cold start" do-hickie that enriches the fuel mixture that I inadvertently activated when I put the car up the night before? Do I need to make sure that when this happens again that I at least go around the block for 1/2 mile or so to put some heat in the motor before putting it in the garage?

you flooded it. Hold the gas pedal to the floor and try to turn it over.
