actually larger throttle bodies are ESPECIALLY beneficial to a turbo car...they do very little for NA cars

Roddimus Prime Dec 16, 2003 10:53 AM

what he said...good for turbo, no difference on n/a

Depends on whats done to the NA car. The BP for example the stock TB can flow enough air for ~200HP but more than that, you should get it bored.

Essential SPeed has a bored TB as well.

The do work on NA cars but you should also sort the manifold at the same time ;)

But its only minimul small gains :)

macdaddyslomo Dec 17, 2003 07:43 PM

i dont see a bigger bore TB getting you much extra even on a higher horsepower BP or FS engine if its NA,but i guess every little bit counts...as far as cost effectiveness though thats probably the worst bang for your buck..I would make that like the last thing you do, and only if you are making it like a full out race car....for that kind of money you can get cams,or do intake, exhaust,a header and get better results

I agree :) Dont do it as one of your first mods there is no point :(

I did my 60mm on my FS after I had finished most of the other areas :)
