tranny headache!!
 

I have been experiencing troubles with my transmission within the last 3 months. I have an automatic transmission and 29500ish miles. the gears are changing quite hard. especially 1st to 2nd and 2nd to third. and when they don't shift hard, it seems to slip and lag going into the gear. i have taken it in to get checked 2 times already and that was within a 2 week period. the first trip was brought on when i was getting on an on ramp to get on the highway and it was icy out. i caught a patch of ice, and before i could let off it caught and 3rd and 4th gear went out. they sau that there are no problems and that my "intake and exaust modifications are causing it to shift firmer although there are no effects on performance." this is bs! and how would they know if it had any effect or not on performance? plus if it had no effect, that wouldn't be the problem. also not until the 2nd time i took it in did they say that it was strongly recomended that i change transmission fluid. i am not sure what to do about this anymore, because nothing has been done to correct this, and i am tempted to put a 5 speed in, and i will if the tranny goes bad, but that is an expensive change. one of my favorite parts is how the 1st time it went in they put 15 miles on it, but the second was 4 miles. does anyone have any suggestions as to what i should do?
