Torque converter???

Anyone know of any aftermarket or better torque converters for the Auto Protege's.

I have been trying to search for one, but not coming up with anything.

Sounds good- Right now the plan is to get Katie- aka FOXXXY- (I just use her account on here) a new car- something awd and auto- (she cant drive a manual- hence to auto protege) and then I am going to steal the Pro and make a Bracket Drag Car considering that is all we have around here is bracket racing- and actually finding the Lentech site- I think I am going to do the trans as well. then WOMP it hopefully soon here and new exhaust etc etc etc. First thing is the Torque converter though- so yeah Ill let you know how it does

Question though- are the motor mounts different for Auto's- I didnt look to see or search that yet- just figured I would ask- if so then that might be another mod I do here soon...

Yeah, Im the same way. I never learned to drive a stick so I went with what I knew (auto). Its not that bad of a car, but sometimes I wish I knew how to drive a manual. I hear a lot of good things about it. Plus people says its a lot of fun. I wouldn't know, so whatever..... Im going to work on my tranny too because in the future (hopefully not tooooo far away) I want to go HiBoost on mine. Im dying for a turbo and REAL power so I want to strengthen my trans a bit before really diving into something like that. I haven't been to the Levelten.com site in a while but I think their converter is like $400.00 or something?? A new rebuilt, stronger tranny is 200.00 more. I think if you got those two, then you should be alright. Thats all I plan on upgrading when I get the money to do something like that.

Yeah, the motor mounts are different between trannies. The autos have the softer durometer (70) than the manual (88). I don't know exactly how to explain what durometer is so you might want to ask another bout that. I have the AWR Racing mounts (70) but I haven't put them in yet. The mounts are supposed to be great in stopping any wheel hop and the harshness of the engine when it gets started up. The front one is the easiest to do (from what I hear) so everyone usually does only that one and stops, but I hope to put both on. Maybe one day when my car is in the shop I can have the guys slip them on.....

Well, if you need anything else or have any more questions, message me here or e-mail me:wdstud@yahoo.com . Ill do what I can. Good luck.
