Timing belt life

Does anyone know the interval for changing the timing belt on the '02 P5? Hopefully it's not every 30,000 miles:eek:

What's it say in the owners manual? I would think it just needs inspected every 30000 miles.

There's no mention of the belt in the owners manual. I guess I'll have to buy a shop manual, as I usually do my own work.

better look again...

My '02 P5 owner's manual shows clearly in the maintainence schedule that the timing belt is not replaced until 105,000 miles. I almost fell over! Conventional wisdom says to change it every 65-75 thousand miles. (you'll have to convert all that to km yourself! )

Now I'm gonna have to look closer....

 I'll definitely look to see what's up. I know my car was originally delivered to a customer in Michigan. It was traded in last spring and wound up in Texas. I have looked it over and never saw any indication that it was a Ca. model. If the manual was marked that way, I over looked it.
I tend to agree, though. 105K seems a bit much.

my manual says 60000, but as for major work being done at 30 and 60, my manual only says plugs and other basic stuff. Is anything else you are talking about, because I am at 28000 now.
