time for new motor mounts?

weather and the road has been pretty wet lately. ive noticed that if im turning and my wheels slip, there is what feels like a major amount of vibration in the engine compartment, kinda like the engine is shaking to get out from under my hood. the only other time ive had that problem is if i launch off the line too quickly in the cold/damp mornings. one of my friends suggested it was the dreaded wheel hop, and that stiffer motor mounts might do the trick...something ive been reading and trying to learn about on this and other forums for a while, but havent got it all figured out.

i think the car's still under warranty, can the dealer check and replace the existing OEM mounts? or is that one of those wear/tear items that arent covered like brakes or tires? will they give me a fuss that i was "abusing" the car or whatever. apparently they thought some Kartboy shift bushings were the cause of some rattling in my right, front suspension...looking to avoid another runaround like that.

other alternative (and one thats not free compared to warranty work) are the AWR bushings or bushing inserts. If i go that route, which is the easiest to install -- the AWR replacement bushings or R-R poly inserts? thanks for any advice.

It does sound like wheel hop.
I would explore the mount struts (search) that i have been hearing about. Even the 70 durometer (softest) AWR mounts are hard to live with. Much better performance - much better vibes and rattles...

Perhaps just new /stock mounts if you liked the car the way it was when new (and you don't ride it hard). You can do the front mount first with side mount inserts and wait to do the rear mount.

i'll search on the mount struts, but the sound i'm hearing is more like a pebble rattling around the metal underbody or something.

i'll ask about replacing OEM motor mounts at my next oil change, and go from there. thx for the advice.
