throttle/Ebrake cable tightning?
i usually dont ask these kind of ignorant questions, but how do i tighten it? i remember a while back i tried but i couldnt get to it (i was under the hood)
also, how do you tighten the E-Brake? |
I think it's in the center consol...Take it off, and I believe it's at the base of the actual brake lever. Maybe wait till somebody else knows for sure, but I believe what I said was close...

Scotty is right. If you have a '99-00, then you just pull back the rubber on the left side of the e-brake handle. You will see a 10mm nut. If you have a '01-03, remove the cover around the e-brake handle and you will see the same adjustment nut. Turn it clockwise until the handle is tight after pulling it up 5-7 clicks (I think that is the setting).
I don't know that there is any way to adjust the throttle cable. I'll take a look in my manual when I get the chance and see what it says. |
Okay, there is a procedure for adjusting the accelerator cable. Free play is listed as 1-3 mm. Unfortunately the manual I have on CD is in Adobe Acrobat and it won't let me cut and paste. I could type it all in but you wouldn't have the diagram which you really need to make sense of the procedure (sort of a put Tab A into Slot B). There is a copy of the manual on line somewhere but I don't know the address. Someone else on here can help you, or search the forum.
