Tachometer question

I was wondering if there was anyway to figure out what your car redlines at cause i'm thinking of getting a tachometer and i wouldn't know what to set it at.

what year car do you have, model and engine size , ...

The little orange needle that is the symbolic redline. You just rotate it around til its at the desired redline.
