SRMotorsports or Racing Beat Exhaust?

ive been reading around the forum and i see most ppl are pretty happy with their srmotorsports and racing beat catbacks. my question is, which one is better? is the srmotorsports at least as good as the racing beat? i mean, it is cheaper, but it seems good. what about the sound? i like deep, throaty like the mazda sport exhaust? suggestions?

LOL

....I'll let you know next week, when my Racing Beat gets installed!

ok

ok, i installed it about 4 hours ago...was busy driving around :D :shift: :D after the install.
Reaction...
its not loud, but it is throaty, specially around 3k rpm
my ass tells me that i got some horsepower out of it, my asses guess is around 5 at the wheels. also i can feel that the car is finally pulling all the way to red line instead of 5500...
Now the install....
It was very easy me and my friend did it in about half an hour, the harderst part was getting the stock muffler off, the bolts were rusted on, and striped as we attempted to take em of. So i just cut them of:D , it was also pain in the ass to take the muffler hangers out of the rubber boots. So i just cut them off too. :D , then we just bolted it on in a few minutes after we reved the engine with open cats, hehe.
Opinion...
I give it 9.5 out of 10...I do wish it was a tad bit louder in a way...and then i dont wish...(stupid cops:squint fi ) i highly recomand it.
Sorry for the long post.

Don't you need these to hang the new muffler section, too? I did at least on my Racing Beat. Oh well. The Racing Beat is definitely deep, but quiet throughout 2-3k or so. Before or after 2-3k RPMs, it is noticeable in sound. High quality, I am very satisifed!

nope, SR came with muffler hangers welded on already.

Yeah I re-read and realized my mistake. The Racing Beat definitely has the hangers welded on. I thought you had said you cut the rubber things that held it on to the car, which the Racing Beat reuses. My bad.

Install was a snap on the RB. Used liquid wrench on the bolts and WD-40 on the rubber hangers, s**t just slid off. Very high quality, not load at all. I'd perfer it to be a little louder, but the wife likes it how it is.

i kept the rubber thingies...where they are, SR uses them also to hang their muffler

I've had mine on for 3 weeks and it quiets down even more. Still sounds good though, but could be a little louder.
