Only problem wiht wireson the new coil pack setup is if they do offer less resistance than the stock ones you still have stock connections to 2 cylinders to you are getting less spark on 2 cylinders and runnging leaner in 2 than the ones with teh stock wires.

I got mine at Sparkco directly since I live in the same city as they are in. But you can get them online at www.sparkcoonline.com They have lots of info and pics.

From what I understand the coil packs have less resistance than the wires, so you want low resistance wires to get you closer to the ignition seen at the cylinders with coil packs. It can only be better than stock wires. I could be wrong but that's what I've heard.

they have them for the 1.6L on the sparkco website.

the service maual says that the wires are good if they provide the following resistance:
No 1 Lead - 5.6-12.1 kOhm
No 3 Lead - 1.9-4.0 kOhm

that seems like a BIG difference between just the wires! this alone would give me enough reason to replace the two wires.

it is interesting to note, that the service manual also says the coil packs fire the cylinders simultaneously. 1-4 fire at the same time, and 2-3 fire at the same time.

Can anyone who has the Sparkco wires please say if it affected your FM radio? I've heard that some low resistance wires have bad RFI surpressing, causing interference with the radio.

Thanks!

It is commonly referred to as a "waste spark system", many cars with DIS systems do this. It costs less than running one coil per cylinder. And the weight savings gives you a better hp:weight ratio so you can smoke more mustangs ;)

The wires are very well insulated, no interference.
