Sparco or Magnecor Wires??
I am trying to decide on whether to get Sparco or Magnecor Spark Plug Wires... I want something reliable and easy to install. The Sparco's are for $40 USD plus shipping, and I think the Magnecor are for $100+, perhaps different in performance addition, any suggestions would be wonderful. Thanks ;)

the sparcKo's (the 'k' is an important differentiation from sparco) are quite good.
really smoothed things out for me. and a snap to install. not a power mod but definitely made the car nicer to drive. |
draggin' up the archives :D
Was doing a search to find plug wire vendors and I found this...so I dragged it up! :D
What is the difference (if any...other than price :p) between the two companies? Are there any other vendors? I don't think Taylor has a kit, but I wonder if one could be made from a self-fab kit. :D |
I got the sparkos and am pleased.
Like said its not really a power mod just smoothes things out a bit. I am pleased with the 55 dollars I spent. |
Unless you are running a custom ignition system or a high grade stand alone, the OEM or equivalent wires will do fine...and give the same horsepower. I basically wanted to add a splash of colour. Although, if it dosen't make me fast, maybe I shouldn't care.

i know the sparkcos are 9.2mm tripple core and i tired to do a search but what are the stock wires? (how think in mm?) and the magnecor's?

Hey, why don't you look at NGK wires. They have very good wires at cheap prices. I got my set for like $35 off of NOPI. Check it out.

Pretty satisfied with my decision...
I decided to get the Sparkco's and am pretty satisfied with it, mostly. The acceleration is smoother, but I am suspicious that it has increased my fuel consumption, I mean I'm getting less miles to the gallon... Anyways, I really like the smoothness of the Sparkco's. Thanks for your inputs!;)
