spark plug gap

does any one know what the gap is for the spark plugs on 2000 protege lx auto my owners man doesnt say.

i beleive all gen pros are the same, but i may be wrong. Plug gap for a 1st gen is .44

I got the same engine and year the gap is .44

is that .o44 or due i hve to make it add up to .44
