Genuine, stock Mazda High Performance OEM original, as installed by the factory, plastic intake with a K&N drop in filter. Just saying that adds 5 hp to my car.

it should lol, that was a mouth full!

I have removed the second cat and the silencer cap on my car.

Other than that, the best mod I have done is wash and wax the car... There is that undenyable truth that a car runs better when itīs clean and shiny. It has to add at least 20 to 25hp. Much better than putting on stickers.

I donīt want to do wash/wax and stickers at the same time... Iīm afraid the transmission wouldnīt be able to take it.

:D

Actually, I have seen a stock Focus dyno w/ K&N cone filter 108 at the wheels and without the K&N 101, so that would be a 7hp gain at the wheels!

Ok, back on topic. I don't really have an 'intake' per se, but my spouse removed all the black plastic boxes and crap (like a mile long) and stuck a cone filter on the end and relocated that little sensor plug thing (?). It still kinda flops around a bit, we need to get a bracket or something.

I'm interested in purchasing a real CAI, but I don't know which one to go with.

CAI brand x made by me with a k&n cone filter. The car is still running so i think it works well. :D

I definately agree with you....

washing the car seems to add more like 25 - 30hp....far better than using stickers

but what the hey...Ima wash it...then bust on some yellow 70hp adding stickers.....and blow the hell out of my tranny

then I'll purchase some more stickers to help stick the broken parts of my tranny together and hold it lol :D and putting red stickers on your tranny should allow it to hold about 500hp

Be careful though... too many modifications with the washing, waxing, stickers, and stuff... you want to keep the car street legal.
