should I change my timing belt now???

I'm only at 41K miles but I've been driving the car for 4 years now.
Should I change my t-belt now???

60k is recommended. I'll probably do mine around then, depending on the laziness factor.

I'd hold off a little while longer BUT if/when you do your belt go ahead and do your water pump at the same time since it's a cheap mod and worthwhile insurance against future failure.

'book says at 90K miles...

Mine has lasted that long... Although i am scheduled to do it soon.

we have a non-interference engine so even if it does snap yhou wont hurt anything but if you're going to be in there anyway might as well do it to save yourself the labor later.

Does anyone have a how-to for replacing the timing belt and water pump? I will be looking into doing that soon. I checked the manual says to inspect at 60,000 and replace at 105,000.

You can check the how-to section. I dunno if I'm going to do mine myself, but if you're gonna inspect it, you might as well change it!

in all honesty, if you have to ask how to do it you're better off paying a professional. I'm all for the DIYer's learning how to work on their own cars but this is an undertaking and not something like changing your spark plugs.
