Shortram intake/brake Cylinder solution.

Reading some posts here, I notice that many of us who have the short ram intake have the problem of the intake pipe rubbing/hitting/toughing the master brake cylinder.
Does anyone have some good solution to solve this problem?

For my P5, my intake pipe is now about 5 to 8mm away from the brake cylinder.
I am thinking about maybe sticking a piece of high heat torlence soft plastic in between, sort of like the material used in the vacum tube connected the intake pipe to the engine block. Will this work? Or should I just leave it alone?

on the bracket i actually just pulled the intake really close to the engine and that solved my problem.http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/b683b...ocY79AaoF7wx_2 when the intake is moutned, push it down and see if it will hit the master cylinder, if it will, then you meed modify it, if it won't then you are ok, just bend the mounting clip like shown and you will be fine.http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/b683b...rfY79AXf_LxbPc

wedging stuff in doesn't work... i've tried that before... the master brake cylinder shifts and it falls out... the only way it'd even sorta work is if you somehow secured whatever it is ya wedged in there so it won't fall or move when the brake cylinder shifts...

holes - solution

I havew punched holes in 2 intakes already so I finally figured it out. I replaced the motor mounts and bought a better intake. I also took about 3-4 mm off my master with a disc. Since my motor doesn't move anymore... no more holes!

What intake did you bought to replace the old one?
And what is the disc that you are talking about?
