Shifter just went lame

Sup guys, i was just driving my p5 (with kartboy bushings) and all of a sudden my shifter went limp. There was no noise or anything, but now the shifter feels REALLY wimpy and limp, and it engages the gears really late, and it's hard to pull it out of gear. My friend had a CRX with a JDM SiR motor in it and the CV boot housing or something was cracked and oil was in places it shouldnt have been, and it felt the same. A friend and i are gonna check it out in a few minutes. Any suggestions?

Oh yeah, the bushings have been in for like a month or a month and a half. In case there is any relation, its been damn hot here the last couple of days. Today it hit about 95 and yesterday it hit 98.

Okay, jsut checked it out. Turns out the nut that holds the shift rod and the bushings on that bolt next to the tranny fell off. Must not have torqued it to spec. Anyone have the part number please?

yah, you need to use threadlock on that nut. make sure you
threadlock the fork nut too when you do your short shifter.
