Safe to use fuel cleaners?

Is it safe to use all these fuel cleaners in your tank like STP and Techron....... ? The owners manual says not to use any at all... weird... ?.?.? Why would they say that?
:tear:

Maybe because the vehicle is engineered not to use any fuel additives? I don't think it would hurt anything but it's not really necessary. I think you're looking too far into making everything clean. Just run normal 87 octane, and don't worry about a damn thing. Your injectors won't get clogged unless you fill up at a crap fuel pump, and if you step on it every once in a while on the freeway that cleans them up pretty good anyway.

I know that's the case most of the time, but I'm a firm believer that no matter what, one's fuel injectors do tend to get deposits on them. Not to mention your O2 sensor. I've personally used BG's 44k in my car three times and I know it did improve fuel economy albeit very slightly. But my car has 120k mi. I guess it's also like a PM.

^^Doesn't that have something to do with altitude, though?
