Questions about B&M Short Shifter
 

I found a deal on the B&M short shifter, but the seller only have the level, no knob, no bushing.

I have a MP3, is there any problems if I install the short shifter without bushing, knob?

People said the MP3 shifter is shorter than the stock P5 or the sedan protege, about 30% shorter, is that true?

After I install the B&M short shifter, how short I expect to get compare to my original MP3 short shift.

Finally, how much it cost a brand new B&M shor shifter?
How much for the combo (level, knob and bushing)
and How much it cost the level itself.

heres the deal....the B&M short shifter is only the shifter itself, i think you are calling it the lever....there is no knob or bushings that come with it...even if you baught it new from a dealer.

they cost around $140 USD. depends on where you get it.

there is NO problem installing it without any special bushings...just ensure that you put the bushings out of the stock shifter, where the linkage bolts through the bottom, into the B&M, seeing as even a new shifter doesn't come with these and yo have to reuse the stock ones.

the KNOB off of your MP3 will NOT fit the B&M short shifter...the threads are different. what you will need is a shifter with 10mm X 1.25 thread pitch to just thread on the B&M.

I can't answer your question about how much shorter the B&M is over the stock MP3 shifter...I just don't know...but I DO know its a LOT shorter than the stock shifter that comes in the standard sedan and the P5.

and I am not sure what "BUSHINGS" you were speaking about....unless you were in fact talking about the ones I already mentioned ....or were you thinking about the Kartboy bushings which are a nice addition.

but I replaced the MP3 stock knob to a Momo knob exactly like this one...and I donno what's the size of it.

ya the B&M only comes as the lever... no bushings........

i have had mine in for around 2-3 weeks and i must say im liking it so far... just got used to the stiffness of it now....

and yes the MP3 Shifter was a SS and it is shorter than the P5 stock.....

the B&M is shorter than the stock MP3 shifter in travel distance btw gears but the "stick" itself is abit longer.

oh ya.. and the Momo shift knob of yours will fit the B&M SS...... coz i have a Momo shift knob too..

if your momo shift knob is the type that uses the set screws to hold it in place and center it....it will work on the B&M shifter too.
