Question About Bosal MX-6 Header

This is more or less directed to the ppl with this mod done. PhantomCruiser is one person that i know that has done this mod. Could someone tell me what exhaust manifold gasket do i need? One from the 93-95 MX-6 or for the model year protege? Please and thanks in advance.

the part for the MX-6/626 has been discontinued... the protege part supercedes it

You should be able to reuse the factory exhaust manifold gasket. The head and the ports are the same so either the old gasket from the Probe/MX-6 or the new one for the FS should work.

Oh...i will. I'll have pics of the header install and the intake manifold install too....Hey does anyone know if i can cause real damage if i close both EGR ports? TheMan will more than likely respond with a smart ass answer to it.......LOL

I guess the damage would be if you sucked crap into the intake via the open EGR. Close it or put a breather on it.:D

What did you do with yours? I mean't closing them both off...

TheMAN Apr 2, 2003 12:19 PM

and have fun with the stalling... can we say unmetered air?
