Alright pros... seeing as the people on this form seem to know the most complex of engineering... i have a question with endless solutions...

I will be buying a '00 protege from an auction... (or my step father will be :P) which leaves me with few options on what i want... pretty much all ive chosen is 5 speed, and either laser blue, or the black... didnt chose interior or engine, because the more options the less of a chance i have of getting it.... ANYWAY, on to the puzzle. I will be dumping about 5 grand into the car... and i was wondering what peoples opinons on parts to get are... i my goal is to have a "kitted" semi-street racer... i hope to achieve 220hp or higher... i cant live with 130 :( any ideas at all; including colors, kits, wing/spolier, exhaust, intake+header/turbo (though stage 1 is fine for me, cause damn thats costly, plus dont need to much forced induction. [probably kill myself.]) ecu chip (if any), shit even guages, (though ill probably get reverse indiglo.)

any ideas are welcome. i know the basics of this field, but it seems the people on this board know alot more then i... and expertize is welcome :P

heh, one other... "question".... ebay, or new... which would be wiser, both for reliability, and wallet happiness
